The release of the SuccessFactors Continuous Performance Management has drowned out some of the benefits of Goal Execution.
I want to highlight some possibly forgotten, but very powerful, aspects of Goal Execution that help you support the change from traditional annual review processes to continuous performance feedback.
Status Report Page
The Status Report page enables users to view and edit progress towards achieving their goals and make comments about their achievements. Managers can request updates to this page or automatic notifications can be configured to alert an employee to update their goals. Directly within the Status Page is a line graph showing an employee’s progress towards achieving their goals.
Execution Map Page
The Execution Map shows the alignment of goals within an organization. This page provides employees with a greater understanding of how their individual goals fit into larger team, departmental, and organizational goals. The color coordinated relationship to the goal’s probability of success enables users to quickly identify which goals are on track and which are not. . This tool comprehensive view is widely favored among executives and helps to support corporate decisions such as resource allocation.
Meeting Agenda Page
The Meeting Agenda page allows managers to filter their team’s goals and createboth team meetings and one-on-one meetings. You can add and remove goals by criteria or select and deselect individual goals in order to:
- Identify areas that need improvement
- Whererecognize/ reward employees where appropriate
- Ensure that all topics are addressed
Once the agenda is set, this page can easily integrate with Outlook to generate a meeting invite with the Meeting Agenda as a PDF attachment.
To embrace the new age of continuous performance and goals management, look not only to the SuccessFactors Continuous Performance Management but also consider Goal Execution.
